Compatibility
Ìbámu, Ìwájòwà
Compatible, agreement, harmony, matching and fitting are the words that describe what is being portrayed in this piece titled Compatibility. Two hands shaking each other shows two forms and shapes that compliment each other and thus fit harmoniously. At the top left corner of the canvas is a snail in its shell staying together and perfectly fitting each other in their symbiotic relationship as neither can exist and survive without the other. So, the snail flesh and the hard shell are always together. While the shell provides shelter and protection for the flesh, the flesh also provides life and growth for the shell.
